I’ve been told that energy management has less consumer engagement than toilet paper, a barrier that West Coast energy utilities and greentech companies have been trying to overcome for years.
They’ve tried the green angle, but earnest, carbon-busting marketing has done little to bring enthusiasm for energy management into the mainstream.
I don’t envy the 115 IOC members voting members in Copenhagen October 2nd. This is possibly the closest race in history – all would benefit from the Olympics, and the Olympics would benefit from the choice of any. The technical evaluations have been made, and decision making now will probably be more emotional than rational. If that’s the case - after watching the above video - I know where my vote would go….
